Geologic Time, Oh My!

A watercolor painting of the road cut through Dinosaur Ridge, near Morrison CO. Growing up, my mother always called this extraordinary place "Rainbow Roadcut." It is a glimpse into Colorado's geologic past, through millions of years of evolving life, a great inland sea, the very history of the Earth.

As soon as I could read, my Mom would make me read from her copy of Roadside Geology of Colorado everywhere we went. As an adult, I now find it fascinating. And I want to spread the gospel of "Rainbow Roadcut" in hopes that it bring more people's attention to this amazing site.
